Maintenance Schedule
The following
maintenance schedule is designed to keep your network running smoothly and
eliminate preventable problems. Most regular functions will be performed via
remote control access, which properly configured, is both secure and economical.
Remote dial-in
via PCAnywhere, with the following maintenance tasks performed:

Check event logs for
recorded errors and/or problems.
·
Check previous nights
backup tape, verify content for completeness and readability.
·
Check for adequate
disk space, run file system verification utility, run de-fragmentation utility if needed.
·
Check Virus Software
log and check/update virus definition database.
·
Check UPS battery
status and event log
·
Attend to operators
queries and/or problem reports
· Log all work performed and if needed, detail any further maintenance work required.
On-site visit,
with the following maintenance tasks performed
·
Visual inspection of
all network computers, components, printers, etc.
·
Perform manual repairs
or maintenance tasks as required.
·
Check event logs for
recorded errors and/or problems.
·
Check previous nights
backup tape, verify content for completeness and readability.
·
Check for adequate
disk space, run file system verification utility, run de-fragmentation utility if needed.
·
Check Virus Software
log and check/update virus definition database.
·
Physical test of UPS
battery state and performance.
·
Log all work performed
and if needed, detail any further maintenance work required.
·
Attend to operator
queries and/or problems
·
Provide instructions
and/or brief training sessions pertaining to areas of concern
· Make recommendations for upgrades and/or replacement of equipment deemed to be at or near the end of their lifecycle.
